The Start!
Hailing from Southlake, Texas, I grew up in a sports-centered household as the youngest of three, with two older brothers who fueled my early exposure to athletics. From an early age, I found myself immersed in the world of sports, attending football practices and hockey games as the enthusiastic little sister. While I eagerly participated in various sports, there was one I wasn’t permitted to play—football—the sport I loved most.
Despite that, I found my own way into the football world through photography. My passion for capturing moments began in middle school when I convinced my parents to buy me a camera. I quickly became a regular on the sidelines, documenting middle school football games, and as my skills developed, so did my passion. In high school, I served as the photographer for the Southlake Carroll football team, an experience that not only honed my talent but also introduced me to a tight-knit community of friends.
From creating game day posts to late-night video editing sessions, my time as the team photographer became the highlight of my high school years. It also provided me with invaluable experience and prepared me for the next chapter in my creative journey.
Next Level!
During my first year at the University of Oklahoma, I gained valuable experience both in broadcast journalism and on-field reporting. I seized every opportunity, from writing for OU Nightly to contributing to SoonerSports pad episodes. In 2022, I played a key role in launching the OU Nightly sports Twitter, providing live game-day updates to Sooner Nation and creating game-day graphics throughout the week.
Today, years later as a senior, I am still just as hooked on the atmosphere. As of this past year, I also have had the amazing privilege of working for two incredible teams. Firstly being a game day photographer, and social media intern for the double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, The Tulsa Drillers.
Secondly, and currently I am the The Sooners Softball media intern, handling content creation. From photography, to graphic design, and even videography, I am producing daily content for the 4 time repeated national title holders.
Off The Turf!
Aside from snapping shots and editing player pics, I paint and am heavy in studio art. I can play the guitar, piano, ukulele, and banjo. So needless to say, all sides of arts are my passion. Although I no longer play any sports, working out takes up a lot of my time as I spend most afternoons at the gym. I am currently attending the University of Oklahoma, and majoring in Online Journalism, with a minor in English writing.
